About three years ago, a friend of mine rescued a six month old black lab/pit bull mix puppy.  A coworker who rescues puppies recommended Merrick dry food for feeding. She recommended my friend feeding it the Merrick Grain-Free Dry Dog Food with beef and sweet potato. When she became a fully grown adult dog, after feeding her Merrick puppy foods, she adored this beef and sweet potato recipe dry food. I have researched it and spoke to my veterinarian about it too. The vet says you have to read labels carefully and find out what is actually in the food and where it was made. Pet foods not made in the United States have no regulations about what can and cannot be put into the pet food. So, essentially, you could be virtually feeding your dog garbage and chemicals.

Merrick Grain-Free Real Texas Beef and Sweet Potato recipe is a big hit for my friend’s dog, my friend, and myself. The dog absolutely loves it and has no tummy troubles whatsoever. Her vet loves the ingredient list that consists of high quality deboned beef as its first and most plentiful ingredient. Dogs need beef as they are carnivorous and need the high quality protein in beef or meat. The sweet potato adds fiber and antioxidants. The healthy omega fatty acids and vitamins help keep the dog’s coat shiny and her teeth shiny and strong. Your dog doesn’t need whole grains. They do not get them in their natural diets.

Protein rich formulas like this one keep dogs performing at their best while maintaining all aspects of their organ systems functionally well throughout their lives. I highly recommend this food for all the right reasons.
